Social security is a compulsory security system based on the society's common risk taking and solidarity principles. It is a subsystem of the general government consisting of the Pension Insurance Fund and the Health Insurance Fund.
The social security funds balance sheet shows the amount spent from the Pension Insurance Fund and the Health Insurance Fund on social security benefits such as pensions, sick pays, childcare fees, different in-kind benefits, and what proportion of these expenditures is covered by revenues from contributions and contributions from the central budget.
The monthly social security balance sheets include
- Appropriations for the reporting year;
- Cumulative performances until the end of the given month;
- The ratio of the performances to the appropriations.
