Extract from the data of the Pension Insurance Register

WHAT INFORMATION IS INCLUDED IN THE PENSION INSURANCE REGISTER?

The claim for the extract containing the data in the pension insurance register can be submitted at any time.

The pension insurance register contains the legal relationship data established and reported by employers and those obliged to provide data, which are necessary to determine pensions. A legal relationship involving an insurance obligation is any employment relationship under which contributions are payable to cover social security benefits.

Such relationships include, in particular, employment relationship, civil service relationship, service relationship of administrative staff of law enforcement bodies, public service relationship, government service relationship, service relationship with the tax and customs authority, political service relationship, commissioner’s relationship, service relationship of prosecutors, judge’s service relationship, healthcare service relationship, service relationship in the judiciary, as registered foster carers, employment under scholarship agreement, guest lecturers within the framework of a scholarship program, employed in a public benefit employment program, employment as a professional or contracted member of the armed forces, private entrepreneur or business partnership status, church personnel in church service, small-scale agricultural producer, etc.

HOW TO APPLY FOR AN EXTRACT?

An extract from the data in the pension insurance register must be requested from the government office acting as the competent pension insurance administration body in the place where the applicant resides, using the form “Claim for certificate from the official register of pension insurance data“.

The extract may be requested for all the data relating to the insured person in the official pension insurance register, or for a specific period or for a specific employer. 

The request for an extract can be submitted in person, by post or electronically.

It may be submitted in person at the customer service of the government office of the capital or county according to the place of residence or stay.

If it is submitted by post, the envelope must be marked with name of the government office addressed and the uniform postal address of 1916 Budapest.

Electronically, persons with electronic identification can submit a request for an extract using the form "Claim for certificate from the official register of pension insurance data" available at www.magyarorszag.hu under "Nyugdíj" > "Adategyeztetés, megállapodás” menu point.

WHAT IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE TIME FOR OBTAINING AN EXTRACT?

The administrative time limit for the procedure for issuing an extract is 8 days.

WHAT INFORMATION IS INCLUDED IN THE EXTRACT?

Among the data in the register, the extract includes the following:

  • the duration of the insurance relationship,
  • the number of days recognised as pension entitlement,
  • the title of the job, the occupation, the FEOR (HSCO) code of the job, the TEÁOR (NACE) code of the entrepreneurial activity,
  • data relating to the employer,
  • data on income and earnings subject to deduction of contributions for the period after 1 January 1988.

WHAT TO DO IF THE EXTRACT DOES NOT CONTAIN ALL THE DATA?

If the extract issued on the basis of the data in the pension insurance register is incomplete, a data reconciliation procedure may be initiated to ensure that the missing data on the relationships are investigated by the pension insurance administration body and the pension insurance register is completed on the basis of the clarified data.
