The International Pension Consulting Days are designed to provide a special form of information for people who have worked or have completed service periods for pension in several countries during their career. Attending a Pensions Consulting Day is an excellent opportunity for people to get help with their ongoing case in addition to general pension information. If the pension determined is based on service period in more than one country, it will make it easier to claim a pension if you can ask the pension advisers of the partner organisation abroad for information in person.
The introduction of the event dates back to the time of Hungary's accession to the European Union, when the number of international pension cases in Hungary increased. The consulting days are attended by pension administration bodies from countries with a significant number of Hungarian employees.
The partner countries involved are: Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania. The half yearly consulting days are alternately hosted by Hungarian and foreign pension institutions.
In Hungary, the advisory meetings are held in Budapest and in cities near the border.
It is advisable to register in advance and to bring your identification documents, your foreign insurance number card and any relevant documents. Hungarian advisers will help you communicate with administrators of foreign pension administration bodies.
The locations and dates of the International Pension Consulting Days organised by the Hungarian State Treasury for the current calendar year, as well as information and contact details for advance registration can be found in the Hungarian State Treasury > Pensions > International Affairs > International Pension Consulting Days or in the Hungarian State Treasury > Calendar entries.
