Pension Payment Directorate

The Pension Payment Directorate (Nyugdíjfolyósító Igazgatóság, ‘NYUFIG’), with competence over the entire territory of the country, performs the tasks related to the payment of pension benefits and benefits defined in separate legislation, and in cases specified in law (e.g. if the right-holder received a pension in their own right, or a survivor's benefit has already been determined), performs tasks related to the assessment of applications (determination) for widowers' or widows’ pensions, orphan's pensions, or parental pensions. The Directorate assesses the support granted for the fees of the first successful language exam and the first advanced level secondary school leaving exam in a foreign language, as well as of the course and exam in the basics of traffic.

In addition to the payment of the determined benefits, the Directorate also implements any changes in the payment data regarding the beneficiaries, and upon request or ex officio, issues certificates, statements and reports.

Administration is primarily carried out in writing, but in-person administration is also possible in the Customer Service Office of the Directorate, where clients can book appointments online. Clients with Client Gate registration can also submit their requests and applications electronically on the Customised Administration Interface (Személyre Szabott Ügyintézési Felület, ‘SZÜF’) of the www.magyarorszag.hu website. Those enquiring on telephone receive general information on the payment of benefits and the most common administrative matters.
