Certifying Authority
General Information
Pursuant to Government Decree No 311/2006 of 23 December 2006 on the Hungarian State Treasury and Section 5(1) of Government Decree No 271/2010 of 8 December 2010 on the appointment of the successor to the National Authorising Office of the Ministry of National Economy, the Hungarian State Treasury performs the certifying authority tasks from 1 January 2011.
Based on Ministerial Order No 7/2021 of 13 August 2021 of the Minister for Finance on the organisational and operational rules of the Hungarian State Treasury, the Department for Accounting for European Union Support and the Department for European Union Support Regularity jointly perform the certifying authority tasks.
The payment and certifying (regularity reviewing) processes and the administration support activities of the Certifying Authority jointly guarantee the management, financial execution and verification of grants in a properly registered and controlled form regarding the programmes for the financial periods 2007–2013, 2014–2020 and 2021–2027 (the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund, the European Territorial Cooperation/Pre-accession Funds, the Danube Transnational Programme, the EEA/Norwegian Financial Mechanism, the Swiss Fund).
